Getting my life together -- that is, playing catch-up and getting ready for the future while living in the present -- reminds me a lot of gathering together all of the decorations; getting strings and strings of Christmas lights untangled and tested to see how well each strand is working; getting the tree set up just right so that it doesn't fall over; making sure that the oversized, inflatable outdoor ornaments don't have any leaks and are tethered down so that they won't blow away; etc. etc. etc.
And why is this so?
It's because, eventually, everything will begin to go together just right to create something that's totally-amazing -- AND it could, very likely, be something even better than what you were originally thinking about as an end result.
